Massachusetts rank by rounds played

Lower is better. Months with no ranked play are skipped.

Tangled Valley logged its first round on March 25, 2026. Through the spring it was mostly a practice loop: two rounds in March, seven in April and a May spike to 23. Summer went quiet. In June the course slipped to No. 120 in Massachusetts for rounds played, and July and August logged nothing.

The league changed that. Weekly league nights started on September 11. September closed with 41 rounds from 7 players, 3 of them first-timers, and the course climbed to No. 66 in the state. Nationally it moved from No. 10,075 to No. 4,972. In the last four weeks, play is up on the four weeks before.

The Ace Pot

Current pot · through Grows $5 per player, every league night, until someone aces Hole 4 or 13.

How it works

  • $5 per player goes in each league night.
  • Only an ace on Hole 4 or Hole 13 (the same hole on the back nine) during a league round wins it. Aces on any other hole don't count.
  • The whole pot goes to the ace. Two aces on the same night split it.
  • No ace, no payout. The pot rolls to next week.

The discs

Reading the numbers

Flight numbers, quickly

Every disc is rated on four numbers. For a course this tight, speed matters less than control: most holes here are under 200 feet.

Speed · 1–15

How fast the disc has to be thrown to fly as designed. Higher speed needs more arm.

Glide · 1–7

How well it holds the air. More glide means more distance for less effort.

Turn · +1 to −5

How much it drifts right early in flight (for a right-handed backhand). More negative turns more.

Fade · 0–5

How hard it hooks left as it slows down. Higher fade is more dependable in wind.
